It was a great day for the Lady Eagles XC Team! The Varsity team finished 8th at one of the biggest meets of the year.

Leading the way was freshman Madison Chapman, who ran a new PR of 20:13 to place 26th; just 10 seconds out of the top 20. Next was senior Mara Reed, who placed 46th with a time of 20:45. Senior Sophie Deneault was not far behind, running a personal best of 21:09. She placed 63rd, and beat her previous PR by almost a minute. Next was freshman Avery Cain, who set a new personal best of 21:26 to place 74th. Rounding out the team score in 76th was sophomore Sadie Cotter, finishing with a time of 21:28. Also competing for the Lady Eagles was junior Emerson Payne, who took about 90 seconds off her previous 5k time. She ran 21:53 to place 103rd. Junior Sydney Lessley also finished the course in 22:52 to place 158th.

Next week, the Lady Eagles will compete at the Southlake Carroll Invitational at Bob Jones Park.
