Day 2 began with the shot put, in which sophomore Emma King placed 12th with a throw of 34-7.
Also competing in the pole vault were sophomore Dylan Wyrick and senior Peyton Berry. Wyrick jumped 11-9 for 3rd, while Berry placed 1st with a jump of 12-3. Both will compete at the UIL 5A State Championship in two weeks.
The running finals began with the 4X100m relay. Senior Stella Davis, freshman Chelsea Nwaiwu, sophomore Saige Soell, and junior Blair Mosley finished 6th, running a time of 48.24 and setting a new school record.
Next was the 4X200m relay, in which sophomore Eva Robinson, sophomore Saige Soell, freshman Chelsea Nwaiwu, and sophomore Kaia Tritthardt placed 7th. The team finished the race in a time of 1:44.58.
Following that was the open 400m run. Blair Mosley ran a new PR of 58.15 to take 4th.
Freshman Madison Chapman competed for the Lady Eagles in the 1600m run, where she placed 15th with a time of 5:38.73.
The final event of the day was the 4X400m relay, which placed 5th. The team, consisting of sophomore Chelsea Nwaiwu, senior Zoe Jackson, freshman Kacheral Meador, and junior Blair Mosley, ran 4:03.78.
All in all, a great meet for the Lady Eagles Track and Field team, who placed 9th overall, sporting a total of 28 points.
