The Lady Eagles XC team competed at the Decatur Reunion Run this Thursday morning, where they placed 5th overall.

The team was led by seniors Mara Reed and Sophie Deneault. Reed placed 7th overall with a time of 20:08, while Deneault followed in 20:37 for 16th. Next was freshman Avery Cain, who completed the course in 21:13 for 28th. She was followed by fellow freshman Morgan Castleberry, who set a new PR of 21:26 for 32nd. Rounding out the team score was junior Emerson Payne, who placed 35th with a time of 21:35.
Also competing for the Lady Eagles were juniors Sydney Lessley and Ariana Hernandez. Lessley placed 44th with a time of 22:07, while Hernandez set a 35 second PR. She ran 22:35 for 55th.
The next meet for the Lady Eagles will be the District 6-5A Championships on Thursday, October 10th.
