Argyle Finishes 2nd at The East Texas Open, Hosted by Glen Rose High School.

The East Texas Open, hosted by Glen Rose High School and held on March 8-9, 2024, at the Tempest Golf Club in Gladewater, Texas, was a thrilling showcase of talent and determination, with the Argyle Lady Eagles putting up an intense fight.
The tournament faced challenging conditions on Friday, March 8, due to torrential thunderstorms overnight. This resulted in a three-hour rain delay, leaving the course exceptionally wet and challenging. Despite these adverse conditions, the Lady Eagles demonstrated resilience and skill.
With a commendable combined team score of 695 (348-347), the Lady Eagles narrowly missed the top spot, finishing in second place.
On the first day of competition, under challenging conditions, the team shot a combined score of 348. Ryan Purczynski led the way with an 84, while Kate Rendon followed closely with an 87. Colbie Moses, Alex Mara, and Ana Edwards contributed with 92, 91, and 97 scores, respectively.
Colbie Moses, Alex Mara, and Ana Edwards rounded out the team’s effort, each playing a crucial role in their overall success.
In addition to their impressive performance, the Lady Eagles enjoyed participating in the Glow Ball Tournament, adding a fun and memorable experience to their competitive journey.
Although the Lady Eagles fell just short of the championship, their performance at the East Texas Open highlighted their skill and determination. With their continued hard work and dedication, the Argyle Lady Eagles are well-positioned for even more outstanding achievements in the future.
