Lady Eagles Golf Team Finishes 4th at Bearcat Brawl Hosted by Aledo High School
Aledo, TX – February 24, 2024
The Argyle Lady Eagles golf team delivered a commendable performance at the Bearcat Brawl, hosted by Aledo High School. Over the course of the two-day event, the Lady Eagles secured a 4th place finish with a combined score of 672, competing against some of the top teams in the state.

Day one of the tournament was held at Split Rail Country Club in Aledo, where the Lady Eagles posted a team score of 344. Leading the team was Ryan Purczynski, who shot an 82, followed closely by Kate Rendon with an 81. Colbie Moses and Ana Edwards contributed scores of 93 and 92, respectively, while Alex Mara posted an 89. Ansleigh Mullins rounded out the squad with a 95.

The second round took place at Squaw Creek Golf Course in Willow Park, where the Lady Eagles improved their performance, posting a team score of 328. Purczynski led the team once again, improving her score with a 77. Moses showed significant improvement, shaving 11 strokes off her first round to shoot an 82. Edwards followed with an 83, while Mara and Mullins posted 86 and 85, respectively. Rendon finished with an 87.

Amarillo High School claimed the tournament title with a stellar performance across both days, while Mansfield High School finished in second place, showcasing their depth and consistency. The Lady Eagles' 4th place finish was a strong result, putting them in competitive standing among elite teams.

Next, the Lady Eagles will travel to East Texas to compete in the East Texas Open at Tempest Golf Club in Gladewater, Texas, as they continue to build momentum for the season.
