Lady Eagles Open Tournament Season at Harbor Lakes
September 13-14, 2024
Harbor Lakes Golf Club – Granbury, Texas
The Argyle Lady Eagles open their tournament season at Harbor Lakes Golf Club in Granbury, stepping into the fall with a solid showing and valuable early experience against tournament competition.
With warm September conditions testing the field over both days, the Lady Eagles post an opening-round team score of 369 and continue to battle through the heat as they settle into the first event of the year.
Ansleigh Mullins leads the way in the opening round with an 88, giving Argyle an early steady score near the top of the lineup. Ana Edwards follows with a 91, while Emerson Fischer adds a 93. Colbie Moses posts a 97, Lily Bayer records a 105, and Sloane McMellian rounds out the day with a 110.
The second round brings one of the team’s best performances of the weekend.
Moses catches fire and delivers an outstanding 77 to lead the Lady Eagles, turning in one of the top individual rounds of the tournament for Argyle. Mullins adds a 96, while Bayer records a personal-best 97, another encouraging sign early in the season. McMellian improves to a 105, and Fischer closes with a 106 as the Lady Eagles continue to gain competitive reps.
Argyle finishes ninth overall, but the bigger takeaway is the experience the team gains in its first tournament of the year. Early-season events are about more than placement alone. They are about learning how the lineup responds under tournament pressure, identifying areas for growth, and beginning to build momentum for the weeks ahead.
The Lady Eagles now turn their attention to the Amarillo Relays, where they will compete at Tascosa Country Club and Amarillo Country Club as the fall season continues.
COMPETE WITH JOY
