It was another great week for Lady Eagles XC! Many personal bests were run on a muddy course with tough competition.

The Lady Eagles took 5th in the Open Varsity race, and were the top 5A finishers.

The team was led by senior Mara Reed, who ran 19:57 to place 15th. Following closely behind was freshman Madison Chapman, who ran a new PR of 20:12 to place 20th. Placing 49th was senior Sophie Deneault, who placed 49th, with a new personal best of 20:55. Sophomore Sadie Cotter also shaved off some time, running a new PR of 21:08 for 61st. Rounding out the team score was freshman Avery Cain. She ran a personal best of 21:16 to place 67th.

Also competing for the Lady Eagles was junior Sydney Lessley, who placed 99th with a season best time of 21:57. The seventh runner was freshman Morgan Castleberry, who ran a new PR of 22:11 to place 110th.

Next Saturday, the Lady Eagles will compete at the Lovejoy Fall XC Festival.
