Lady Eagles Post New PR’s at Southlake Carroll Dragon Relays

The sun finally came out for the Southlake Carroll Dragon Relays this Thursday. Conditions were ideal for a number of personal bests, with both JV and Varsity placing 6th overall.
The afternoon began with the field events. In the Varsity high jump, the Lady Eagles took 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Sophomore Ella Stanzel jumped 5-2 to take 2nd place. Shelby Reed also posted 5-2 to place 3rd, and junior Madeline Zindel jumped 5-0 for 4th.
In the Varsity women’s pole vault, freshman Dylan Wyrick posted a new PR of 11-0 to take 4th place.
Also with new PR’s were freshmen Kinsley Vest and Heather Harbach, who placed 16th and 17th in the JV long jump. They jumped 13-6.75 and 13-6 respectively. In the Varsity division, sophomore Ella Stanzel, junior Zoey Tait, and freshman Kate Brooks took 10th, 11th, and 12th. They jumped 14-11, 14-3, and 14-2 respectively. In the JV girls triple jump, junior Rylie Fenoglio took 15th with a jump of 27-9.50.
Setting a new PR of 73-9, junior Rylie Jones placed 6th in the JV discus, scoring a point for the Lady Eagles. Also competing were freshmen Emma King, Kara Campbell, and Malaysia Bracy. King threw 70-5 for 9th, while Campbell set a new PR of 57-4 for 11th. Bracy placed 18th with a throw of 39-6. The Varsity girls both put points on the board, with senior Cora Crowell throwing 98-4 for 5th, and junior McKinley Carrier throwing 95-11 for 6th.
Competing for the JV girls, junior Oritsesetanesan Nanna, who threw 22-2.50 for 15th. Competing in the Varsity division, freshman Emma King threw 27-11 for 11th, while sophomore Trinity Diggs threw 25-3 to place 14th.
The running events began with the JV girls 3200m. Competing for the Lady Eagles were freshman Karson Riewerts, sophomore Ariana Hernandez, and senior Jade Beaulieu. Riwerts placed 12th with 13:57.03, while sophomore Ariana Hernandez set a new PR of 14:03.91 to place 13th. Senior Jade Beaulieu ran 15:02 to place 18th. In the Varsity race, sophomore Emily Dallas placed 9th, with a time of 12:37.58. Freshman Brooke Kilpatrick set a new PR of 12:53.63 to place 13th. Also competing were freshman Natalia Crnecki and junior Adelyn Smith, who placed 17th and 18th with 14:09.82 and 14:25.02.
The meet also hosted two novice events: the 100m and 200m. In the 100m dash, freshman Isela Avila-Pachon ran 14.77 to place 10th. In the 20om dash, sophomore Ellie Emeterio ran away with the race, running 28.96 for 1st. Also competing were freshman Isela Avila-Pachon and junior McKinley Carrier. They ran 30.51 and 30.69 respectively to place 6th and 7th. This was a new PR for Carrier.
The JV girls 4X100m team consisted of sophomores Brooklyn Stringfellow and Bella Jeffreys, and freshman Kensley Vest and Eva Robinson. They won a close race, with a time of 52.02. The Varsity team included sophomores Londan Jordan and Blair Mosley, freshman Saige Soell, and junior Estelle Davis. They placed 4th with a time of 50.50.
In the JV girls 800m run, junior Sophie Deneault put a point on the board for the Lady Eagles, placing 6th with a new PR of 2:38.54. Junior Adelyn Smith was next for Argyle, placing 12th with 2:44.91. Also competing were freshmen Karson Riewerts and sophomore London Fry. They each set a new personal best, running 2:47.89 and 2:54.07 to place 16th and 19th. In the Varsity race, junior Mara Reed took 3rd, running 2:26.70. All setting new PR’s were freshmen Sadie Cotter and Aoife Journagan, and sophomore Emerson Payne. They placed 10th, 13th, and 15th respectively, running 2:30.90, 2:32.82, and 2:34.74.
Competing in the Varsity 100m hurdles were junior Zoey Tait, freshman Kate Brooks, and sophomore Ella Stanzel. Tait and Brooks ran new PR’s of 16.97 and 17.70 to place 6th and 12th, while Stanzel ran 18.93 for 16th.
Junior Estelle Davis put a point on the board in the Varsity girls 100m dash, placing 6th with a time of 12.87. Sophomore LeiLani De Leon placed 8th with a new PR of 12.98. Also competing were freshman Saige Soell and sophomore Bella Jeffreys, who ran 12.98 and 13.37 for 9th and 17th.
The JV girls 4X200m relay took 3rd with a time of 1:54.25. This team included freshmen Kensley Vest and Eva Robinson, and sophomores Ella Stanzel and Ayla Feely. The Varsity girls 4X200m relay ran 1:49.04 for 4th. This team consisted of sophomores Londan Jordan, LeiLani De Leon, Blair Mosley, and freshman Saige Soell.
In the JV girls 400m dash, freshman Aoife Journagan took 6th with a time of 1:08.60, to score a point for the Lady Eagles. Also competing was freshman Shayni Kinsey, who set a new PR of 1:11.29 for 10th. Junior Zoe Jackson was the first for Argyle to cross the finish line in the Varsity division. She placed 8th, running a time of 1:04.06. Sophomore Ellie Emeterio ran 1:05.03 to place 14th, and freshman Landry Murphy placed 17th. Murphy set a new PR of 1:05.86.
Competing in the Varsity division of the 300m hurdles, freshman Kate Brooks ran 50.27 to place 9th, while junior Zoey Tait placed 16th with 53.04.
Scoring points for the Lady Eagles in the JV 200m dash was freshman Eva Robinson, who ran a new PR of 27.23 to place 4th. In the Varsity girls race, sophomore LeiLani De Leon set a new PR of 27.51 to place 6th. Junior Madeline Zindel ran 28.05 for 16th, and sophomore Ayla Feely ran a new PR of 28.05 for 17th. Also competing was sophomore Bella Jeffreys, who placed 19th with a time of 28.24.
The JV 1600m was led by freshman Brooke Kilpatrick, who ran a new PR of 5:56.32 to place 8th. Sophomore Emerson Payne made her debut in the event, running 6:00.94 to place 10th. Also competing were junior Sophie Deneault and freshman Shayni Kinsey, who ran 6:07.21 and 6:24.65 to place 13th and 19th. In the Varsity race, junior Mara Reed ran 5:38 to place 10th. Sophomore Emily Dallas followed closely behind, running a new PR of 4:44.31 to place 12th. Also competing were sophomore Sydney Lessley and freshman Sadie Cotter, who ran 5:53.37 and 5:54.92 to place 15th and 17th respectively.
The final event of the night was the 4X400m relay. The JV girls placed 3rd, running a time of 4:20.87. The team consisted of freshmen Kate Brooks, Kensley Vest, Landry Murphy, and sophomore Ayla Feely. The Varsity team placed 4th, running a time of 4:12.75. This team included sophomores Ellie Emeterio and Blair Mosley, and juniors Madeline Zindel and Zoe Jackson.
