The Eagles just finished their first two tournaments of the spring season with multiple medalist in each! Last Friday they played in the toughest 6A tournament in the metroplex (only three 5A teams were invited). Meghna Arun Kumar finished 1st overall and did not drop a set. Rishi Natarajan and Shrihan Naruvadi finished 3rd place and we had our boys doubles, Austin Lewis and Carter Holt, along with our mixed doubles, Slade Underwood and Maddie White, finishing as consolation champions. The Eagle Tennis team also earned success in the Denton Guyer Tournament in late January. Eagle Tennis had 1st Place finishes in girls doubles, defending 4A champions Hannah Lightner and Julia Lightner and boys doubles Austin Lewis and Carter Holt. Senior Rishi Natarajan finished 2nd place with some outstanding wins. Sophomores Jackson Hollyday, Amber Lewis and Kily Weston earned the title of consolation champions! We had all players earn wins in this tournament as well. Eagle Tennis is back in action on Valentine's Day for JV Red and Black and Thursday at the Flower Mound Tournament for Varsity! Go EAGLES!
