The Lady Eagles made their first 5A appearance at the Regional Championships yesterday in Lubbock, Texas, placing 17th in an incredible field of competition.

The team was led by freshman Brooke Kilpatrick, who completed the course in 20:57 to place 59th. The next pair of Lady Eagles to finish were sophomore Emily Dallas and junior Mara Reed, who ran 21:14 and 21:15 to place 71st and 72nd. Sophomore Sydney Lessley was the fourth runner for the team, placing 109th with a time of 22:25. Rounding out the team score was freshman Natalia Crnecki, who placed 127th, with a time of 23:02. Also competing for the Lady Eagles were freshman Aoife Journagan and senior Sophia Sanchez. They ran times of 23:03 and 23:08 to place 128th and 131st respectively.
