The varsity team placed 3rd this morning at the District 7-5A Meet, edging out Birdville to qualify for the Regional Championships. The top 10 individuals and top 3 teams advance from District to Regionals.

The team was led by junior Mara Reed, placing 8th with a time of 20:00. The next runner for the Lady Eagles was freshman Aoife Journagan, running a time of 20:42 to place 15th. Freshman Brooke Kilpatrick and sophomore Emily Dallas finished next, placing 19th and 20th, and running 21:14 and 21:17 respectively. Rounding out the team score was freshman Natalia Crnecki, running 21:41 to place 23rd. Also competing for the varsity team were sophomore Sydney Lessley and senior Sophia Sanchez. They placed 26th and 29th, and ran times of 21:56 and 22:06 respectively.

The Lady Eagles will compete at the Region 1-5A Championships on October 23rd in Lubbock, TX.
