The Lady Eagles traveled two teams to Lubbock this weekend to preview the regional course. It was a hot day for racing, at 96 degrees at the time of competition. The JV team ran competitively in the first race, snagging several top 25 finishes. The Varsity team earned a few medals as well, placing 6th as a team.

The JV team was led by junior Adelyn Smith, who completed the course in 25:09 to place 19th. Following closely behind was freshman Karson Riewerts, who placed 25th, with a time of 26:07. Also competing for the Lady Eagles were sophomore Margaret Schmidt (26:30) and sophomore Ariana Hernandez (27:30).

The Varsity team was led by junior Mara Reed, who placed 17th with a time of 22:06. Emily Dallas followed closely behind, running a time of 22:16 to place 20th. Freshman Brooke Kilpatrick was next for the Lady Eagles, placing 24th with a time of 22:27. Freshman Natalia Crnecki placed 46th with a time of 24:18. Rounding out the team score was sophomore Sydney Lessley, who ran 24:29 to place 50th. Also competing for the Varsity squad was senior Sophia Sanchez, who ran 25:07 to place 60th.
