The Lady Eagles XC Team attended the Lovejoy XC Festival this Saturday. This meet featured tough competition, with 50 boys and girls teams in attendance. The Varsity girls competed in the open division, placing 2nd behind Lucas Lovejoy, the number one ranked team in the state of Texas.

Junior Mara Reed led the team, placing 6th with a time of 20:27. Following closely behind was freshman Natalia Crnecki, who placed 7th with a time of 20:29. Next for the Lady Eagles was Freshman Brooke Kilpatrick, completing the course in 20:44 to place 10th. Also in the top 20 was sophomore Emily Dallas, who ran 21:01 to place 16th. Rounding out the team score was freshman Aoife Journagan, who placed 22nd with a time of 21:13. Also competing for the Varsity squad was senior Sophia Sanchez, who placed 29th with a time of 21:39. Next was sophomore Sydney Lessley, who placed 62nd with a time of 22:37. Sophomore Margaret Schmidt completed the course in a time of 23:04 to place 77th. Senior Jade Beaulieu also competed for the Lady Eagles, placing 105th with a time of 23:39.
