The Lady Eagles competed in several different events this Saturday morning at the Southlake Carroll XC Invitational. This included entries in both the Elite and Open Varsity races.

Junior Mara Reed competed in the Elite Varsity race, completing the course in a new personal best time of 19:33. She placed 90th in a field of over 250 people, including many 6A schools.

The Argyle Lady Eagles also saw success in the Open Varsity Field, placing 5th overall out of 35 teams. The team was led by freshman Natalia Crnecki, who completed her first 5k in a time of 19:53 to place 12th overall. She was followed by two other freshmen, Aoife Journagan (25th) and Brooke Kilpatrick (32nd) who ran PR’s of 20:26 and 20:37 respectively. Sophomore Emily Dallas was the next runner, placing 64th with a time of 21:18. Rounding out the team score was sophomore Margaret Schmidt, who placed 83rd in her first 5k, finishing in a time of 21:33. Also competing for the Varsity squad was sophomore Sydney Lessley, who finished with a time of 22:14 to place 121st in a field of over 300 runners.
