The Lady Eagles Varsity XC Team started off their Saturday with a first place finish in the two mile at the Byron Nelson XC Invitational. The team clocked 6 personal bests, finishing with a total of 36 points, 20 points in front of Marcus.
Junior Mara Reed led the way, taking 1st place overall with a personal best of 12:32. The next three members of the team, all freshmen, ran personal bests as well. Natalia Crnecki (13:00) and Aiofe Journagan (13:00) took 4th and 5th place, followed by Brooke Kilpatrick (13:21) who placed 10th. Seniors Sophia Sanchez (13:35) and Hope Davidson (13:39) ran personal best times, placing 16th and 17th respectively. Rounding out the top 20 was sophomore Emily Dallas (13:47). Also competing for the Varsity team were sophomore Margaret Schmidt (14:17), senior Jade Beaulieu (14:20), and junior Sophie Deneault (14:34). They placed 27th, 28th, and 37th respectively.
