The Lady Eagles JV XC Team ran a number of personal bests to place 8th in a steep field of 6A schools at the Byron Nelson XC Invitational this Saturday morning.
Leading the way was freshman Karson Riewerts (40th), who ran a new personal best of 15:06. Junior Adelyn Smith followed closely behind (41st), running a time of 15:07. Sophomore Ariana Hernandez was the next runner to finish the two mile course, running a personal best of 15:57 to place 60th. Also running a personal best for the season was freshman Keira Brassell (62nd) with a time of 15:58. Rounding out the score was senior Maura Journagan, running a time of 16:27 to place 76th. Also competing for the JV team were freshman Chloe Rose (91st), sophomore Ella Artho (96th), freshman Morgan Doremus (100th), and junior Julia Conway, who ran a new personal best to place 105th. They clocked times of 17:27, 17:41, 17:50, and 18:11 respectively.
