Lady Eagles Host Strong Field at 2nd Annual Argyle Lady Eagle Invitational
October 21-22, 2022
Wildhorse Golf Club at Robson Ranch – Denton, Texas

The Argyle Lady Eagles welcome one of the strongest fields of the fall to Wildhorse Golf Club at Robson Ranch for the 2nd Annual Argyle Lady Eagle Invitational, giving the program another chance to test itself against top 4A, 5A, and 6A competition from across Texas.

With all 10 varsity golfers competing, the event becomes both a high-level team challenge and a full-program showcase. Argyle’s Black team finishes sixth overall, while the Red team adds a 19th-place finish in a tournament loaded with talent throughout the field.

The Black team leads the way with rounds of 322 and 323 for a 36-hole total of 645, good for sixth place. Ana Corro turns in one of the top individual performances of the tournament, carding rounds of 75 and 76 to finish fifth in a field of 105 golfers. Ryan Purczynski follows with a strong 74-79 showing, while Madison Wert adds rounds of 80 and 85. Kate Rendon posts a 93 and 92, and Colbie Moses rounds out the scoring with back-to-back 93s.

That kind of balance keeps Argyle Black competitive from start to finish against one of the deepest home fields on the schedule.

Argyle’s Red team also gains valuable experience and contributes to the overall strength of the weekend. The Red team posts rounds of 381 and 388 for a 769 total and finishes 19th overall. Allison Giese leads that group with a 97-89 performance, while Cierra Rexroat follows with rounds of 94 and 102. Ansleigh Mullins improves from a 105 to a 92 in the final round, and Ana Edwards and Ari Davies round out the lineup with scores of 93-107 and 97-105.

For Argyle, the invitational offers more than final placement. It provides meaningful competition across both teams, strong individual performances near the top of the leaderboard, and another opportunity to sharpen the lineup against elite opposition. Hosting an event of this caliber also continues to raise the standard for the program, both in competition and in visibility.

Next, the Lady Eagles head to Georgetown for the 5A State Preview, where they will face another major test against some of the best teams in Texas.
