Argyle High School’s Lady Eagle golf team hosted the 2nd Annual Argyle Lady Eagle Invitational at Wildhorse Golf Club at Robson Ranch. For the second year the tournament hosted some of the top 4A, 5A, and 6A teams in the state. All ten varsity golfers on the Lady Eagle roster participated in the event.

The host Argyle Black team of Corro, Purczynski, Wert, Rendon, and Moses finished in 6th place with a final score of (+44) 654. The Argyle Red team of Giese, Rexroat, Mullins, Edwards, and Davies shot (+100) 769 to finish 19th.

Corro a Junior led the Black team with scores of 75-76 to finish in 5th place out of 105 golfers. Purczynski, a sophomore, shot 74-79, Wert, a senior, shot 80-85, Rendon, a junior, shot 93-92, and Moses, a freshman, shot 93-93. The Black team’s 322-323 score of 645 earned the team a 6th-place finish.

The Red team’s score of 381-388 total of 769 was led by junior Allison Giese’s 97-89. Junior, Cierra Rexroat followed with 94-102 and sophomore Ansleigh Mullins shot 105-92. Rounding out the team scoring were a pair of sophomores Ana Edwards and Ari Davies shooting 93-107 and 97-105. The girls' next travel to Georgetown for the 5A State Preview.
