It was a great morning to kick off the XC season at the Rock Hill Season Opener. The varsity girls competed in the open division, with freshman Presley Skaggs leading the way. She was the overall champion, finishing in 12:20, developing a 9 second lead in the finishing stretch.
Next was sophomore Everlee Muckensturm, who placed 9th with a time of 12:52. Third for Argyle was sophomore Tiana Noshin, who ran 13:24 for 33rd. Rounding out the team score were sophomores Addisyn McNatt and Grace DeFilippo. McNatt ran 14:12 for 75th, while DeFilippo placed 91st with a time of 14:33.
Next was the duo of senior Ava Rogers and freshman Hadley Hanson, who placed 107th and 108th respectively. They completed the course in 14:50 and 14:52. Also competing were juniors Bella Moes and Jordan Augenstein. Moes placed 110th with a time of 14:53, while Augenstein ran 15:21 for 120th.
A number of girls ran personal bests for the 2 mile, and the team placed 7th overall with 178 points. The Lady Eagles will compete at the Flower Mound Invitational next Saturday.
