UIL 4A State Tournament

The Argyle Lady Eagles step onto one of the biggest stages in Texas high school golf in 2015, earning a trip to the UIL 4A State Tournament and putting the program on the statewide map.

For any program, reaching the state tournament marks a breakthrough. It means surviving district play, navigating the pressure of regionals, and proving you belong among the best teams in Texas. For Argyle, the 2015 state appearance stands as a defining moment — the kind of season that helps shape a program’s future and sets a standard for every team that follows.

At the state tournament, the Lady Eagles compete against a strong championship field and finish 10th overall with rounds of 405 and 410 for a 36-hole total of 815. Andrews captures the team title at 641, with Snyder second at 693 and Lampasas third at 699. Even in a field loaded with established programs, Argyle earns its place and gains invaluable experience on the sport’s biggest stage.

The Lady Eagles’ state-tournament lineup features Hannah Adkins, Mackenzie Miles, Molly Sheridan, Leyton King, and Marisa Roden — the group that carries Argyle into the championship field and represents the program in one of the most important appearances in school history.

What makes a season like this matter is not only the finish on the board. It is the accomplishment of getting there in the first place. State tournaments become part of a program’s identity. They become the years future teams look back on, the years that prove what is possible, and the years that build belief.

That is exactly what the 2015 Lady Eagles accomplish.

They take Argyle to the state tournament, compete against the best in Texas, and establish a foundation that later teams continue to build on. Long after the scores are posted, that remains the biggest takeaway: this group helps show that Argyle girls golf belongs on the state stage.
