Lady Eagles Open 2018-19 Season at Eaton Eagle Invitational
September 28-29, 2018
The Golf Club at Champions Circle – Fort Worth, Texas
The Argyle Lady Eagles open the 2018-19 season against a strong North Texas field at the Eaton Eagle Invitational, gaining an early test against some of the area’s top programs at The Golf Club at Champions Circle.
Playing on a saturated course after a week of rain, the Lady Eagles post rounds of 368 and 366 for a 36-hole total of 734 to finish eighth overall. The tournament features high-level competition from across the region, including 6A power Byron Nelson and Grapevine, the two-time defending 5A state champion.
Madelyn Diomede leads the way for Argyle with rounds of 87 and 81 for a team-best 168. Hannah Wood follows with an 89-83—172, while Molly Yarbrough adds an 88-94—182. Kenzie Sullivan contributes rounds of 104 and 108, and Sarah Greiner rounds out the lineup with scores of 130 and 111.
For Argyle, the weekend provides an important opening benchmark. The Lady Eagles begin the season on a demanding golf course, face a deep field, and gain valuable early rounds as the fall schedule gets underway.
Argyle next returns to action at the Fred Willis Memorial Scholarship Tournament, the “Fast Freddy,” hosted by the North Texas High School Golf Coaches Association at Lake Park.
