The Argyle Lady Eagles continue their strong march toward district play, capturing another team title at the second District 7-4A Preview at Runaway Bay Golf and Resort.

One week after winning the first district preview at Robson Ranch, Argyle’s Red team delivers again, posting a team score of 320 to finish first for the second consecutive week. The Black team also turns in a solid performance, finishing third overall with a 396 and giving the Lady Eagles another strong day across both varsity groups.

Argyle’s Red team sets the tone with balance throughout the lineup.

Claire Jensen leads the way with a 78, while Katie Garner follows closely with a 79. Lauren Justice adds an 81, Madelyn Diomede cards an 82, and Madison Wert rounds out the scoring with an 85 as the Lady Eagles once again prove to be the top team in the field.

The Black team adds another valuable postseason-building performance of its own.

Freshman Madi Hance leads that group with a 91, while senior Izzy Wolfe posts a 95. Maddie Wilson adds a 96, and Corin Sullivan comes in at 114. Freshmen Cierra Rexroat and Allison Giese continue to gain varsity experience, shooting 126 and 131 as the Lady Eagles build depth heading into the most important stretch of the season.

The second preview closes out the preseason portion of the schedule and gives Argyle exactly the kind of momentum a team wants heading into championship play. Winning both district previews reinforces the strength of the Red team, while the Black team’s continued experience provides the program with added depth as the postseason begins.

Next, both the Red and Black teams turn their attention to the District 7-4A Tournament, which begins March 29 at Robson Ranch and concludes April 5 at Runaway Bay. Argyle looks to advance both teams to the Region I Tournament for the second consecutive opportunity after accomplishing the feat in 2018-19.
