Lady Eagles Win First District Preview at Robson Ranch
March 15, 2021
Wildhorse Golf Club at Robson Ranch – Argyle, Texas
The Argyle Lady Eagles make a strong statement at the first District 7-4A Preview, winning the team title at Wildhorse Golf Club at Robson Ranch and continuing to build momentum toward district play.
Hosting the first of two district preview events, Argyle places both teams in the field and sees the Red team rise to the top of the standings with a team score of 315. The Black team adds a fifth-place finish at 395, giving the Lady Eagles another valuable competitive day as postseason play draws closer.
Katie Garner leads the way with one of the best rounds in program history.
Garner fires a 2-over-par 74 on the par-72 North-South course, tying the Lady Eagles’ 18-hole school record and turning in one of the top individual performances of the day. Madelyn Diomede follows with a 79, Lauren Justice adds an 80, and Madison Wert rounds out the scoring four with an 82 as Argyle Red separates from the field and captures the team championship.
The Black team also gains valuable experience and contributes to a strong overall day for the program.
Madi Hance leads that group with a 93, while Corin Sullivan follows with a 95. Izzy Wolfe shoots a 101, and freshman Cierra Rexroat adds a 106 to complete the team total. Maddie Wilson posts a 108, Allison Giese cards a 109, and Avery Clayton finishes with a 115.
More than anything, the day gives Argyle exactly what a district preview is supposed to provide: a competitive look at the course, meaningful tournament reps, and another chance to sharpen the lineup before the matches that matter most.
The Lady Eagles next travel to Runaway Bay for the second district preview as they continue preparing for the District 7-4A Tournament, which begins March 29 at Robson Ranch and concludes April 5 at Runaway Bay.
