The Lady Eagles competed at the Southlake Carroll Invite on Thursday, making this their last tune up before the District 6-5A Championships. They finished 3rd place, with a total of 118 points.
The day began with the field events, where freshman Grace Munster won the high jump, clearing a height of 4-10. Next was freshman Halima Jiya, who jumped 4-8 for 3rd. Also competing was freshman Reagan McCullough, who placed 5th with a jump of 4-6.
Competing in the pole vault, freshman Isabella McCarty placed 2nd overall, clearing a height of 8-0. Freshman Hailey Tucker placed 3rd with a jump of 13-11.25 in the long jump. Taylor Thomas also took 2nd place in the triple, with a jump of 30-07.50.
In discus, freshman Jessica Pilli placed 4th with a throw of 62-07. Also competing were freshman Krystalia Singh, senior Paige Withrow, and freshman Deepshika Sundarajulu. They threw 56-02, 47-07, and 45-01 respectively.
In the shot put, freshman Sophie Beaulieu placed 2nd overall with a throw of 26-11.00. Also competing were sophomore Alekha Marottickel Jolly and freshman Jessica Pilli, who threw 23-02.00 and 20-08.00 for 8th and 9th.
The running events began with the JV girls 3200m run. Junior Karson Riewerts placed 7th overall, running a season best of 13:56.08. She was followed by freshman Grace Defilippo, who ran 14:54.77 for 11th. Also competing was sophomore Avery Cain, who ran 15:13.39 for 13th.
In the novice 100m run, senior Paige Withrow finished 6th with a time of 14.90. Also competing was sophomore Malaysia Bracy, who ran 15.53 for 7th. In the novice 200m, senior Emerson Payne finished 4th in a time of 30.34.
In the 4X100m relay, the team of sophomores Taylor Thomas, Bella Moes, Berkeley Patton, and Katie Killoren finished 4th, running a time of 52.25.
Next was the 800m run, in which freshman Kobi Green ran a new PR of 2:36.64 for 4th place. She was followed by junior Ava Rogers, who ran 2:42.74 for 8th. Also competing were senior Lola Ola and junior Morgan Doremus, who ran 2:51.60 and 2:52.33 for 10th and 11th.
The Lady Eagles took 1st and 2nd in the 100m hurdles, with sophomore Sailor Farda and sophomore Mackenzie Murphy running 17.37 and 18.27. In the 100m dash, sophomore Taylor Thomas took 2nd overall, finishing in 12.74. Next was sophomore Bella Moes, who ran 13.20 for 5th. Also competing was sophomore Berkley Patton, who ran 13.36 for 9th.
In the 400m run, freshman Kobi Green placed 9th overall, running a time of 1:10.76. Representing the Lady Eagles in the 300m hurdles was freshman Mackenzie Murphy, who finished in a time of 53.18 for 3rd.
Competing in the open 200m was sophomore Bella Moes, who ran 27.87 for 7th. She was followed by sophomore Katie Killoren, who placed 10th with a time of 27.91.
Junior Ava Rogers led the Lady Eagles in the 1600m, where she ran 6:13.77 for 13th. Next was freshman Grace Defilippo, who placed 16th with a new PR of 6:34.30. Also competing was junior Reese Hennigan, who ran 7:38.73 for 21st.
The night concluded with the 4X400m relay, in which Argyle placed 4th overall, running a time of 4:37.00. The team consisted of freshmen Kobi Green, Mackenzie Murphy, Tiana Noshin, and Reagan Starkey.
Next week, the Lady Eagles will compete at the District 6-5A Championships on Monday and Tuesday (April 6th and 7th). This will be their final meet of the season.
