The Argyle Lady Eagles put together an impressive team performance March 25, capturing the championship at the Burleson Centennial 27-Hole Tournament at Squaw Valley Apache Links Golf Course in Glen Rose.

Argyle finished first in the team standings with a 485, holding off Fort Worth Benbrook (487) and Burleson Centennial (499) in a competitive field. The Lady Eagles opened with a 329 over the first 18 holes and followed it with a strong 156 over the final nine holes to secure the tournament title.

Leading the way was Colbie Moses, who delivered a historic performance for Argyle. Moses finished second individually with an even-par 108, posting rounds of 73 and 35. Her even-par total set the program record for the lowest individual 27-hole tournament score in school history.

Moses’ steady play gave Argyle a major lift throughout the day and helped set the tone for a championship effort. She was joined by Hailey Perkins, who turned in another strong finish for the Lady Eagles by placing fourth overall with a 115 after rounds of 75 and 40.

Argyle also got an important counting score from Lily Bayer, who finished seventh with a 122, while Sloane McMellian added a 140 to round out the team total.

The victory showcased the depth and consistency of the Lady Eagles lineup. With two players finishing in the top four and three finishing in the top seven, Argyle delivered the kind of complete performance needed to win a strong 27-hole event.

The team title was significant on its own, but Moses’ record-setting day added even more to an already memorable tournament. As the postseason draws closer, the Lady Eagles continue to show they are playing some of their best golf at the right time.

The Lady Eagles will next compete for the district championship on April 5-6, 2026, at Oakmont Country Club in Corinth, with the opportunity to advance to the regional tournament on the line.
