The Lady Eagles XC Team took on the Region 1-5A Championships yesterday, placing 7th overall for their second regional appearance in the 5A classification. With this performance, they bested their previous finish of 17th in 2023.
The team was led by senior Sydney Lessley, who placed 18th overall, finishing in an impressive 19:46.80 on the hilly course.
She was followed by sophomore Madison Chapman, who placed 43rd with a time of 20:45.70. Next was freshman Everlee Muckensturm, who ran 21:09.10 for 58th.
The fourth runner for the Lady Eagles was senior Emerson Payne, who placed 60th with a time of 21:10.09. Rounding out the team score was freshman Tiana Noshin, who ran 22:18.10 for 90th.
Also competing were sophomore Morgan Castleberry and freshman Addisyn McNatt. Castleberry ran 23:17.20 for 131st, while McNatt placed 137th with a time of 23:38.50.
