It was a great day for the JV Lady Eagles XC Team, who placed 5th at the District 6-5A Championships.
Leading the way was sophomore Bella Moes, who placed 12th with a time of 22:23.19. Next was freshman Maci Shelton, who ran 22:54.31 for 15th. The third runner for the Lady Eagles was junior Ava Rogers, who placed 30th. She finished in a time of 24:00.92. Next was sophomore Avery Cain, who ran 24:41.00 for 42nd. Rounding out the team score was sophomore Jordan Augenstein. She placed 46th, running a time of 25:02.13.
She was followed by junior Morgan Doremus, who ran 25:40.98 to place 54th. Next was freshman Assia El Attar, who ran 26:14.45 for 59th. She was followed by the duo of freshman Josephine Brown and senior London Fry. Brown finished 78th with 27:26.44, while Fry placed 79th with 27:28.30.
Also competing were juniors Reese Hennigan, Sirine El Attar, and Sri Sahara Tiyaggura. Hennigan finished in a time of 28:47.62 to take 89th, El Attar ran 28:50.30 to place 91st, and Tiyaggura finished 96th, running a time of 29:11.58.
