Lady Eagles Compete in Lady Pirate Fall Invitational at Harbor Lakes

The Argyle Lady Eagles golf team continued their fall season with a strong showing at the Lady Pirate Fall Invitational. They played at Harbor Lakes Golf Club in Granbury on Friday and Saturday, September 26–27. Against a competitive 20-team field, the Lady Eagles placed 10th overall with a two-day team total of 704.
Individual Performances
Senior leadership paced Argyle throughout the event. Alex Mara posted one of the team’s best individual finishes of the fall, shooting 84 on day one and rallying with an impressive 77 in round two. Fellow senior Colbie Moses showed consistency across both rounds, scoring 85 and 80.
Rounding out the senior group, Lily Bayer improved on day two with a 97–91 performance, while Sloane McMellian carded rounds of 96–98. Sophomore Hailey Perkins made her varsity two-day tournament debut, showing composure and steady play with rounds of 100 and 94.
Building Toward the Season Ahead
The Lady Eagles’ 10th-place finish in a field of 20 highlights their depth and potential for continued growth this season. With strong senior leadership and contributions from younger players stepping into bigger roles, Argyle gained valuable tournament experience that will serve them well in upcoming fall competitions.
Next, the Lady Eagles will travel west to Abilene for a unique match play event against Abilene High, Abilene Cooper, and Abilene Wylie High Schools. The head-to-head format will give the Argyle Lady Eagles another chance to sharpen their competitive edge while gaining valuable match play experience.
