The Lady Eagles XC team attended the 40th annual Luke’s Locker Greenhill 6-mile Relay this morning. They competed two relay teams, each with 4 competitors running a mile and a half.
In a deep field with 51 teams, the first of the varsity relays took 16th place. The first leg was senior Sydney Lessley, who came through in a time of 10:06. Second was sophomore Avery Cain, who ran 11:03. The third leg was freshman Addisyn McNatt, running a time of 10:36. Anchoring the relay was freshman Everlee Muckensturm, who clocked a split of 9:51, leading the team to finish in a time of 41:36.
The second relay placed 21st, completing the course in a time of 44:02. Starting the race was freshman Tiana Noshin, who ran a split of 10:40. Next was freshman Maci Shelton, who clocked a time of 10:52. The third leg was junior Ava Rogers, who split 11:10. Running the final stretch was sophomore Jordan Augenstein, who finished in 11:20.
Next Saturday, the Lady Eagles will compete at the Marcus Coach T Invitational at North Lakes Park.
