The Lady Eagles XC team participated in the 40th annual Luke’s Locker Greenhill 6 mile Relay this morning. They competed two relay teams, each with 4 competitors who ran a mile and a half. In a tough field of about 107 teams, both teams placed near the front.
Leading the first relay for the JV Lady Eagles was junior Morgan Doremus. She clocked a time of 12:29. Next was freshman Summer Rhine, who completed the course in 12:03. The third leg was senior London Fry, who finished in 12:04. Anchoring was freshman Grace DeFillipo, who ran a split of 11:42 to lead the team to a 19th place finish. They completed the race in 48:18.
The second relay was led by junior Sirine El Attar. She clocked a time of 13:34. She handed off to junior Sri Sahasra Tiyyagura, who finished in a time of 13:09. Next was freshman Assia El Attar, running a time of 12:48. Anchoring the relay was junior Reese Hennigan, who finished in 13:25.
The team placed 26th overall, and completed the course in 52:56. Next Saturday, the Lady Eagles will compete at the Marcus Coach T Invitational at North Lakes Park.
