The Lady Eagles made their 2025 debut with a 3rd place finish at the Cowtown Invitational. The team scored 66 points, leaving only a 5 point gap between them and 2nd place Springtown.
Leading the Varsity girls was sophomore Madison Chapman, who placed 2nd with a new PR of 12:33.37.
Also in the top 20 were freshman Everlee Muckensturm, and seniors Emerson Payne & Sydney Lessley. Muckensturm placed 10th with a PR of 13:13.41. Right behind her was Payne, also running a new PR of 13:16.36 for 11th. Lessley finished 14th, running a time of 13:29.43.
Rounding out the team score was freshman Addisyn McNatt, who ran 14:06.53 for 31st.
Also competing were freshmen Tiana Noshin, Maci Shelton, and sophomore Avery Cain. Noshin ran a new PR of 14:22.25 for 34th. Cain ran 14:43.62 for 37th, and Shelton ran a new 14:44.33, a new personal best, for 38th.
This was a great start to the season for the Lady Eagles XC team. Next Saturday, they will be competing at the Luke’s Locker Greenhill Relays.
