The JV Lady Eagles began the 2025 XC season with a 2nd-place team finish. They scored a total of 51 points, putting them 21 points ahead of the next team.
The team was led by sophomore Jordan Augenstein, who ran a new PR of 14:57.23 to take 6th. Close behind was junior Ava Rogers, who finished her first race in a time of 15:01.95 for 7th.
Also earning medals were freshman Grace DeFilippo and sophomore Bella Moes. DeFilippo placed 11th with a time of 15:14.71, while Moes ran 15:18.96 for 14th. This was a new personal best for both runners.
Rounding out the team score was freshman Nicole Wilger, who placed 24th with a new personal best of 15:37.82.
Also competing were senior London Fry, freshman Summer Rhine, and junior Reese Hennigan. Fry finished the race in a new PR of 15:50.75 for 27th. She was followed by Rhine, who placed 31st with a personal best of 16:02.37. Hennigan also ran 17:24.19 to take 56th.
This was a great start to the season for the Lady Eagles XC team. Next Saturday, they will be competing at the Luke’s Locker Greenhill Relays.
