Lady Eagles Finish 3rd at 7-5A District Tournament, Moses and Edwards Advance to Regionals
March 31–April 1, 2025
Wildhorse Golf Club at Robson Ranch – North & South Courses

The Argyle Lady Eagles deliver a strong finish at the District 7-5A Tournament, placing third over two days at Wildhorse Golf Club at Robson Ranch and sending two players on to regional competition.

Competing March 31-April 1 on the North and South courses at Robson Ranch, Argyle posts rounds of 359 and 337 for a 36-hole total of 696. The Lady Eagles finish behind district champion Colleyville Heritage and runner-up Grapevine, while showing the kind of resilience and growth that defines a team finding its form at the right time.

The second round tells the story.

After opening with a 359, Argyle responds with a 337 on day two — a 22-shot improvement and one of the team’s strongest turnarounds of the season. In a district tournament setting, where every round carries postseason weight, that kind of response says plenty about the Lady Eagles’ composure and competitiveness.

Colbie Moses leads the way with one of the top performances in the tournament. She fires rounds of 79 and 76 to finish third overall in the individual standings and earn All-District honors. Ana Edwards joins her on the All-District team after posting steady rounds of 83 and 82 to finish seventh overall. Both Lady Eagles advance as individual medalists to the 5A Region I Tournament in Lubbock.

Argyle also gets important team contributions throughout the lineup.

Ansleigh Mullins improves from a 95 to an 89, while Lily Bayer follows a 97 with a 90 to help fuel the strong second-round push. Sloane McMellian adds rounds of 100 and 108 as the Lady Eagles close out a solid team finish.

In medalist play, Emerson Fischer turns in a strong two-day showing with rounds of 96 and 93. Sophia Estrada improves from 112 to 98, and Morgan Kempton adds scores of 99 and 103 as all three continue to add depth and experience for the program.

Now the focus shifts west.

Moses and Edwards next head to the 5A Region I Tournament at LakeRidge Country Club in Lubbock, the same course Argyle sees earlier in the spring at the regional preview. That familiarity gives both players valuable experience as they prepare to compete for a place in the UIL 5A State Tournament.

For the Lady Eagles, the district tournament delivers more than a third-place finish. It brings a strong closing round, two All-District performances, and another step forward for a team continuing to build momentum.
