Legacy Hills Golf Course – Georgetown, Texas

The Argyle Lady Eagles step onto one of the most important courses on the schedule and gain a valuable postseason measuring stick at the 5A State Preview on Nov. 1-2 at Legacy Hills Golf Course in Georgetown.

Facing a strong field and a course that later hosts the 5A State Championship, the Lady Eagles use the event as an opportunity to see elite competition, study a demanding layout, and continue building toward the spring. Argyle finishes 12th overall with rounds of 363 and 378 for a 36-hole total of 741.

Ana Edwards leads the way for the Lady Eagles with a steady two-day performance, carding rounds of 82 and 87. Colbie Moses follows closely and shows improvement in the final round, opening with a 91 before trimming three shots with an 88 on day two.

The rest of the lineup gains valuable experience as well.

Ansleigh Mullins contributes rounds of 91 and 97, while Lily Bayer posts scores of 99 and 106. Sloane McMellian rounds out the team total with a 103 and 111 as the Lady Eagles battle through a challenging weekend against some of the top teams in Texas.

For Argyle, the value of the tournament goes beyond the team finish. The State Preview gives the Lady Eagles an early look at a championship venue and a chance to compete in the kind of environment that defines postseason golf. Events like this help sharpen a team’s focus, expose areas for growth, and provide experience that can matter later when the stakes rise.

With the fall schedule now complete, the Lady Eagles turn their attention toward the spring season. Argyle steps away from tournament play until February, then begins preparing for the district tournament in early April and the postseason push that follows.

The trip to Georgetown offers exactly what a state preview should: a challenge, a benchmark, and a clearer view of what it takes to compete at the highest level.
