Lady Eagles Capture Eaton Fall Classic Title for First Win Under Coach Moses
November 5, 2018
Denton Country Club – Denton, Texas

The Argyle Lady Eagles close the fall season with a milestone victory, capturing first place at the Eaton Fall Classic and delivering the program’s first tournament win under Coach Moses.

For a team building confidence and momentum throughout the fall, the result stands as a breakthrough moment.

Argyle posts a team score of 353, matching its best round of the season and finishing on top of the field in the final event of the fall schedule. The score not only secures the championship, but also marks an important step forward for a program that continues to grow, improve, and establish its identity.

The Lady Eagles lean on balance throughout the lineup to get the job done.

Junior Hannah Wood leads the way with an 84, finishing third individually and giving Argyle a strong presence near the top of the leaderboard. Senior Sarah Greiner follows closely with an 85, placing fifth after a scorecard playoff. Senior Molly Yarbrough adds an 87, while sophomore Madelyn Diomede contributes a 97. Senior Kenzie Sullivan rounds out the scoring with a 105.

The win carries extra meaning because of what it represents.

This is not just another strong finish. It is the first tournament championship for the Lady Eagles under Coach Moses, a landmark result that reflects the team’s progress throughout the fall. Argyle closes the season not only with a trophy, but also with proof that its work is beginning to turn into results.

That matters heading into the spring.

With the fall schedule now complete, the Lady Eagles shift their focus toward the championship portion of the season. Argyle next prepares for district play at Wildhorse Golf Club at Robson Ranch before heading west to Lubbock for the regional tournament at Shadow Hills Golf Course in April. From there, the goal remains clear: continue improving and make a push toward the state tournament at Plum Creek Golf Course in May.

For now, though, the Lady Eagles leave Denton Country Club with something worth celebrating — a championship finish, a signature team round, and the first tournament win of the Coach Moses era.
